Daughter to immigrant parents from Latin America, Natalie Izaguirre-Canales was born in Ottawa and raised in Guelph.
Natalie grew up with multiple family members who are human right activists. Their work within the political field inspired Natalie to pursue law at a young age. She attended most of her education locally in Guelph and decided to stay close for her undergrad by choosing Wilfrid Laurier University to study Political Science, Global Studies, and Legal Studies. She decided to continue her education and pursue her passion for law by becoming a paralegal.
Throughout her time at triOS College Natalie has been exposed to many areas of Substantive law. Some of her interests include: immigration and refugee, Human Rights, Provincial Offences, Small Claims Court, and Landlord and Tenant board.
Natalie spends her time volunteering for her community or can be found playing individual or team recreational sports throughout Centre Wellington. She loves reading, exploring new trails in the surrounding area, teaching her dog (miniature schnauzer) Max new tricks, or coaching youth sports teams.
Her life mission is to inspire and uplift young girls and women to get involved in politics or law.
Natalie completed her internship at Kent Paralegal Services in early 2022, and remains a part of our team as an Administrative Assistant, as the first point of contact. She will be able to help you get your matter off on the right foot!
